Cathleen Amwake OTR/L has more than 30 years of experience in occupational therapy work. She has worked in acute care hospitals with rehabilitation units for neurological and orthopedic conditions, developmental centers, mental health centers and orthopedic medical practices.
In 1986, Cathleen transitioned from a comprehensive acute-care and employer services practice to predominantly employer services. For 20 years, she has specialized in Worker's Compensation programs that have been effective in both outcome and cost savings. She works closely with occupational health nurses, safety professionals, general managers, rehabilitation nurse case managers, human resources departments and insurance companies to provide consultant services and one-on-one interventions.
The concepts of Mod Solution® came about while Cathleen was working within industries in Phoenix, Arizona. These industries were actively trying to control their work place claims costs. Cathleen identified the need, created a product and began implementing it into industry. She has worked exclusively with employers, providing industrial rehabilitation services including work site evaluations, job analysis, evaluation of injured workers, assessment of workers through post offer exams in multiple settings.
A graduate of the University of Kansas with a BS in Occupational Therapy, her areas of expertise include resolution of musculoskeletal discomfort, employer services and anatomy education and training.
